One of the most common questions we get asked as doulas is… What is a doula? How can a doula help me, and what do doula services include? It is very important to know that a doula never replaces a birth partner! We want to help our birthing partners feel more comfortable in the birthing space and feel like they can know how to support you during this journey, and we want to help support them too. Studies show shown that hiring a doula can lower your chances of C-section by up to 35 percent, as well as shorten labor and leave the birthing team feeling better about their birth experience. Services include physical, emotional, and educational support. We will meet a couple of times in your home to answer your questions, get to know you more, educate you on all the options and interventions, etc.
We are professional Salt lake city doulas who have been trained and certified by both DONA international and the Midwives College of Utah. They have continued their education by taking childbirth education courses offered all over the valley, Spinning Babies workshops, Rebozo training, Meagan is a VBAC (vaginal birth after Cesarean) Instructor and educator.
